Checkout is a zine about shopping. But about weird shopping. We like to say our focus is on consumer consciousness -- minding the environment, our wallets and people less fortunate than ourselves. We don't want to promote greed, debt or gluttony. We DO want to promote entrepreneurs, discussion and intelligent shopping. This can be seen (we hope) in the articles we include. The cover story about the diamond industry is a good example of this, as is our shopping list of cool poster designers.
